You'll not want to waste resources on the device such as connecting a permanent monitor or keyboard/mouse combo. Have you bought a new Mac mini to serve as a network appliance of some sort? Perhaps it's to serve files to your network and provide rendering capabilities with Compressor or maybe it's going to run a Plex media server and share printers.
